Yes Yes!! We are buzzing with excitement to tell you that Whisky and Rum Barrel Coffees are being served at Kaldi’s Berry Café on SB Road.
While nothing makes us smiley as whisky or makes us forget our ‘gam’ like rum, unfortunately in waking hours we have to make do with coffee for survival. Now imagine all of it coming together. Kaldi’s Berry is doing just that. Located at SB Road, they are serving coffee that is fermented in whiskey and rum barrels!!! God how just saying it makes me happy high.
Now at first look, what looks like a regular café next to Varda library, it’s when you enter the place and meet the staff you get to know it’s a box of pandora. Various coffees can be chosen from the menu. Ask the servers Vikrant and Harsh and they will be happy to help you. The owners, Tejas Jadhav and Tanmay Varkhade have ensured the staff is equipped with abundant knowledge of the business.
For their Whiskey Barrel and Rum Barrel coffees, the coffee beans are fermented the same way the spirits are. They are then segregated and stored in air tight containers to keep the flavour and fragrance intact. And finally ground freshly and drenched in hot water with certain temperature and time for utmost delight. Roll the concussion on your tongue for maximum effect.
