A Menu Overhaul Worth Talking About
Rihla, Groves and Layers on Baner Road has always been a crowd favourite. From the day they opened, people have loved their fresh approach to food. While they’ve tweaked their menu over time, this is their biggest menu overhaul yet, with new pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, and some really interesting drinks.
And like always, they continue to follow their core philosophy, everything is made in-house using fresh ingredients, and you can actually taste the difference.
Lamb Burger with a Croissant-Style Bun
This is not your regular burger. The bun is made using laminated dough, the same used for croissants, which makes it light, airy, and slightly flaky.
The lamb filling is juicy and rich, and when paired with that soft, buttery bun, every bite feels indulgent but not heavy. The texture of the bun really stands out here, crisp on the outside, soft inside.
Bahn Mi Sando- A Vegetarian Surprise
This one is interesting. Instead of the usual mayo or sauces, they use a three-mushroom pâté as the base spread.
The mushrooms are tossed in miso and kept chunky, which gives a bite very similar to chicken. The bread is made in-house and has that perfect crisp exterior with a soft inside. It’s earthy, umami-rich, and surprisingly satisfying.
Roasted Pepper & Chicken Pizza
Their pizza game has always been strong, and this one continues that trend.
The sourdough starter is 7 years old, and the dough is fermented for over 30 hours, giving it a deep flavour and light, airy crust. The roasted peppers add a slight sweetness, while the chicken balances it out with a savoury bite. The base is crisp, slightly chewy, and very well balanced.
Parmesan Chicken Cappelletti Pasta
Cappelletti literally means “little hats,” and that’s exactly how this pasta looks.
Each piece is stuffed with chicken and cheese, and served on a sauce made from peppers. The sauce brings freshness without being spicy, and the pasta itself is soft, with a rich filling inside. It’s comforting but still feels refined.
Clarified Strawberry Cheesecake Drink
This is probably the most unique item on the menu.
It’s a clarified mocktail made using coffee and cheesecake elements, filtered over almost 12 hours. The result is a clear-looking drink that carries the flavours of strawberry cheesecake.
It’s light, slightly creamy in taste, and very different from anything you’d expect.
The Final Word
Rihla, Groves and Layers continue to do what they do best, create thoughtful dishes with strong flavours and great textures.
With this new menu, they’ve taken things up a notch. If you’ve been here before, it’s time to visit again. And if you haven’t, this is a great place to start.
