Shayani ekadashi
 is also called Ashadhi Ekadashi (Hindi: आषाढ़ी एकादशी), which is one of the most widely accepted names of this ekadashi.

In the English calendar, the date falls somewhere between June to July. On Ashadi Ekadashi, Hindus worship God Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi and observe fast to please the supreme God.

This day, a large yatra or religious procession of pilgrims known as Pandharpur Ashadi Ekadasi Waari Yatra culminates at Pandharpur, in Solapur district in south Maharashtra, situated on the banks of the Chandrabhaga River.

Pandharpur is the main center of worship of the deity Vitthal, a local form of Vishnu. Lakhs of pilgrims arrive in Pandharpur on this day from different parts of Maharashtra.

1. Wake Up: Drink 1 glass of water with lemon juice, black salt & honey.

2. After 10 minutes, Tea/coffee, peanut ladoo or a handful of dry fruits

3. Breakfast: milk with dry fruit powder + fruit or puffed rajgira + milk + honey +almonds or sweet potato or sago kheer

4. Cucumber salad + Upwas atta roti or varai rice + buttermilk + Red pumpkin sabji

5. At 4pm: Tea or Milk + fruits or dry fruits

6. Dinner: Cucumber raita or Pumpkin sabji + Varai rice + Ghee + Curd or buttermilk
