It has gained recognition on an international scale and the movement is aimed at maintaining the Earth’s health and hygiene. Eric Ahlstrom, a Swede founded this movement by giving a pep talk, making people aware of the need to exercise and clean.

On a generic scale, at least 10000 people in India can be found plogging.
