Relish an all-authentic Korean menu at Pune’s new food joint. ‘Kini- Korean Street Food’ is not some ordinary Korean joint serving just Ramen Noodles or Korean Fried Chicken. Kini has more to offer such as Tteokbokki, Pajeon/Haemul Pajeon, Mukimchi, Twigim, Ramyun, Bibimbap and Rice cream. At Kini it is not just food, but an overall Korean experience and vibe!
It’s just been 8-9 months and Kini has got everyone hooked! This small food joint is run by 3 young entrepreneurs. Jin and Jun have a Korean background and belong to the food industry and their 3rd partner is Suyasha.
What makes Kini different from other Korean joints is their menu and their in-house ingredients. At Kini, if you wish to have something spicy and tangy do try their TteokBokki. It is a dish in red sauce with chewy TteokBokki pieces i.e., Steamed Rice cake in cylindrical shape. The next dish is a savoury pancake! Haemul Pajeon (prawns pajeon) a non veg pancake and Rose Pajeon are mild spicy with a chewy texture to it.
But if you’re a fried food fanatic, try Kini’s Twigim. Twigim is basically a pakora but with a twist! You can have veg Twigim or Prawn Twigim which are made with Korean batter. Twigim is served with a choice of their homemade sauces (sweet, spicy, tangy).
Next dish to try here is their unique Ramyun Soupy Noodles. Served piping hot, directly in a pan! This pan full of Ramyun noodles is a spicy and tangy dish. It is accompanied with sour Kimchi (cabbage) and sweet Mukimchi (radish). These are basically pickled veggies marinated in different spices or vinaigrettes. They are perfectly marinated which cuts out the bitter taste of these veggies.
At Kini, they also serve cold noodles! You heard it right, Bibimbap is a spicy cold noodle delicacy. Topped with egg half fry or boiled eggs as per your choice.
Lastly, this wholesome meal needs a sweet ending. A special Korean dessert, Rice Cream is a soft and crunchy dessert. Ice-cream served with a crispy rice layer and honey drizzled on top.
