I went to Trooh, a fine dine restaurant in Kalyani Nagar, where I came across a cocktail named ‘The Repeat’ which is priced at a whopping Rs.1200/-! This single cocktail stands out from the rest of their menu.

‘The Repeat’ consists of ‘The Big 3’; Gin, Tequilla and Jägermeister. For this cocktail, they use the spirits from the top shelf; Gin is Stranger and Sons, Tequilla is Jose Cuevro Special. Each of the spirits used are a 30 ml pour bringing the total alcohol pour quantity to 90 ml in a glass.

The spirits are then blended with guava juice, and strawberry effervescence. Topped with sparkling water and ice. Lastly, literally a cherry on the top.

When you read the menu description of The Repeat, the first thought is these 3 won’t pair well together. But, honestly, the botanicals of Gin, earthy tequilla and the herbal kick of Jägermeister gel perfectly in the creamy guava juice and strawberry effervescence. The result is a cocktail that is perfectly balanced. The spirit’s sharp bitter taste doesn’t pop out making the cocktail super smooth. All in all, a perfect fruity & boozy summer drink!

The overall menu, when compared to other pubs, is on the expensive side. Then there is ‘The Repeat’ on their menu which is priced at 1200/-. Naturally, it peaks the attention of anybody. Just a heads up, this price is before tax!

Each table is adorned with a lamp that blends seamlessly with the décor, adding warmth and character to the space.
