These faces are just representatives of 20,000+ artisans spread across the entire India and its different states. Craftroots is working on the upliftment of all these artists over the last 20 years and has come to Pune with their creations.

At the Dutch Palace, Bund Garden; meet the artists behind the art till 6th February, 2023. Shop directly from them as they are exhibiting for the first time in Pune at Craftroots Exhibition organised by Gujarat’s NGO, Gramshree.

Meet Pichhwai artist Karan Singh who has come all the way from Rajasthan and has brought Pichhwai in the form of frames, paintings and another Karan Singh showcasing some of his award winning pottery too!

Asadullah is here from Delhi but originates from Afghanistan and has the most stunning jewellery that has its roots in Afghanistan and Turkmenistan. Heavy statement jewellery made with Brass, antique silver and precious stones is one of the most stunning crafts at Craftroots. Ladies, do not miss it!

Warli being a tribal art both from Maharashtra and Gujarat finds its representative, Manish Kadam who has come from Gujarat. You can watch him and his family painting live at the exhibition. The detailed and intricate artwork is up for grabs, let the walls in your house be adorned with Warli!

Zahida from Kashmir has travelled across several states to reach Pune. She has brought with herself the precious Pashmina and silk products that have gorgeous traditional Kashmiri artwork.

You can also spot Babukaka working on Brass products live when you visit. He comes from Gujarat with his heavy weight work of art made with brass.

These names are just representatives of the 70+ arts being showcased. Do make it a point to meet Agazbhai for his bead work, Ganpatbhai for the amazing wooden games, Jolly Nandi for Kantha art work, Mahesh Kumar and 6 Brothers for their unique blow glass art, Rinki Gautam from Lucknow for the authentic Chikankari and many more like them!
