The Miraas exhibition by Monalisa Art Foundation opened today at Monalisa Kalagram, Koregaon Park. The atmosphere is lively from the very first hour. Visitors walk into a warm, colourful world of traditional textiles, crafts and art.

This year’s edition is special. Miraas features 33 National Awardees, UNESCO-recognised artisans, Shilp Gurus, Padma Shri and Sant Kabir award winners. Every stall carries a legacy. Every product carries generations of knowledge.

Dayaben Dohat’s Soof embroidery immediately draws attention. The sharp geometric patterns and fine handwork impress every visitor. Next to her, Mohammed Yusuf Khatri presents rich Bagh prints known for their bold red and black palette.

From Bengal, Runa Laila displays beautiful Kantha stitch creations. Each piece tells a simple but emotional story. Babubhai Rathod’s Tangaliya weave stands out with its tiny bead-like dots and intricate technique.

The vibrant colours of D. Vaikuntam’s Cheriyal paintings add artistic charm to the exhibition. Visitors stop to admire these timeless folk artworks. The earthy terracotta art by Rajendra Kumhar attracts home decor lovers.

The walkway glows with leather puppets and lamps crafted by Sindhe Sreeramalu. Their delicate cut-out detailing fascinates both children and adults. Shankar Raychand Bijlani showcases authentic Kutch leather craft, loved for its bold patterns.

Traditional stone carving by Duryodhana Mohapatra brings Odisha’s heritage to the venue. Gajan Srinivas displays authentic Telia Rumal, dyed using rare traditional techniques. The soft and royal Himroo textiles by Fakira Pathan receive constant appreciation.

The textile section is buzzing with excitement. Kharet Devji Bhimji Velji showcases rich Bhujodi weavesLalchand Chippa’s Bagru block prints attract natural-dye enthusiasts. The colourful Lehariya by Badshah Miyan adds brightness to the entire space.

The luxurious Banarasi sarees by Nasim Ahmed draw many saree lovers. Nearby, Abdul Rahim Khatri presents deep indigo and maroon Ajrakh printsAshraf Hasan’s leather jutis offer handcrafted footwear with authentic Rajasthani detailing.

The delicate Sanjhi paper cutting by Mohan Verma amazes visitors with its fine precision. Jewellery lovers gather at Raghav Rajsoni’s Thewa jewellery stall. The rich Patola silk sarees by Mukesh Rathod catch attention with their vibrant colours.

Odisha’s Patta Chitra by Purna Chandra Moharana showcases mythological stories in bold strokes. Aziz Ansari’s Maheshwari weavesPrithvi Raj Kumawat’s gemstone artMajid Ahmed Mir’s PashminaPrakash Joshi’s Phad-Pichwai, and Faraz Aqeel’s Tarkashi wood carving complete this spectacular showcase.
