I recently walked into a space in Pune that completely changed the way I look at something as basic as a ceiling fan. What I thought would be a quick visit turned into an experience I won’t forget anytime soon — because at Electric City – Fanzart Showroom in Koregaon Park, I quite literally explored “air” worth ₹50 lakhs!
This isn’t your regular fan store. It’s a designer fan studio that deals in high-end, bespoke luxury. The kind of place where every product feels like a piece of art rather than just a functional appliance. And honestly, once you step inside, you realise this is a completely different world.
Fanzart has built a reputation for itself across the country, with many A-listers in Maharashtra as regular clients. Their fans aren’t just limited to homes — they’ve been installed in some of the most premium restaurants and hotels in India, including places like Bastian and Marriott. That already tells you the level they operate at.
The pricing starts at around ₹18,000 and goes up to ₹1.5 lakhs for standard designs. But once you enter the customization zone, there’s practically no upper limit. Think of it as the Ferrari of fans — everything can be tailored exactly the way you want.
And when I say everything, I mean everything.
From the metal used in the motor housing to the colour, finish, and texture, every detail can be customized. The blades themselves come in a wide range of materials like real wood, acrylic, stainless steel, brass, and more. You can choose the design, texture, and even the colour of the blades to match your space perfectly.
But what really stood out were some of their standout designs.
One of them was called Glitter — a fan where the light is housed inside a dome made up of countless tiny apertures. The way the light passes through creates a stunning visual effect. It felt less like a fan and more like a piece of art hanging from the ceiling.
Then there was Cloud, which completely blew my mind. This fan doesn’t just rotate, it also revolves at a pendulum angle of about 40 degrees. The outer rim is designed to mimic a cloud, and the engineering behind it is just insane. The blades and the rim move so closely around each other at different points that the precision is honestly breathtaking.
And then came the fan-chandeliers; probably the most fascinating category. When switched off, they look like elegant chandeliers. The crystals in the chandeliers are imported from Switzerland and are hand installed at the clients location. But when turned on, they transform into functional fans using centrifugal force. It’s such a seamless blend of art, science, and technology that you almost forget you’re looking at a fan.
What I experienced here wasn’t just about luxury products — it was about seeing how something as everyday as a fan can be reimagined into a design statement. There’s an entire under-the-radar world of designer fans, and Electric City – Fanzart Showroom in Koregoan Parkgives you a glimpse into it.
If you’re someone who appreciates design, engineering, or simply loves unique experiences in Pune, this is definitely a place worth checking out.
Because trust me — you’ll never look at a ceiling fan the same way again.
