Actor Siddharth Chandekar feels blessed to be part of the film Jhimma. “To be surrounded by 7 women and each of them an amazing actor, who wouldn’t want to be with them, when Hemant offered me the role of Kabir, a startup travel agency who takes up 7 women on a tour of London, I was quick to accept. It has also been my wish to work with Hemant as a director, ” said Siddharth, with a smile.

I am having mixed feelings and eagerly waiting for 2 years to watch the film together with audience, a film which is a fantastic journey in rediscovering not just London but also ourselves,” said Chandekar.

Being surrounded 7 women, did he feel the pressure, to which he said, “I am surrounded by women even in my family… that experience of being constantly with them helped me to bring subtle changes to the role. Each of the actress taught me a lot, there is so much of talent and geniuses among them that it is hard not to acknowledge them.

Each of these women taught me life lessons, unknowingly like for instance, Kshitee Jog taught me to never stop dreaming and achieve it despite hurdles, Sonalee Kulkarni shared her mantra of remaining down to earth and never change for people but be constant, Mrinmayi Godbole showed how to live in the moment after all these memories remain for life, Sayali Sanjeev taught me to be focused and work hard, while Suchitra Bandekar lessons were on being firm on our stand. Sushas Joshi has super energy and positivity while Nirmitee Sawant, whom love a lot showed me how to bring people together with unconditional love. To tell you the truth, I was pampered a lot on this film and enjoyed it thoroughly, be it shopping sprees or even dinners together,” said Siddharth.

“Jhimaa is going to teach audience to live and enjoy living life outside your home. This film is spontaneous and should be enjoyed on the big screen,” concluded Siddharth.

Jhimma releases on 19 November in cinemas near you.
