Plot
Ek Villian Returns is a great psychological thriller, even better music and actors who couldn’t really do justice to their roles.

Review
The longest wait for a masala movie to be watched on the big screen is over. Mohit Suri never fails to weave magic on screen. The songs please the heart (playing on the loop since the day of its release) and the action sequence between the hunks is something I believe every Bollywood buff’s dream come true.

Ek Villian Returns franchise led by Mohit Suri and Aseem Arora has done justice as a sequel. The plot is engaging with heavy dialogues and perfectly messed romantic lives of the leads. The VFX fails the good old dishoom dishoom.

The plot is good old ‘Good winning over the Evil’. A mass killer takes over the lanes of Mumbai again. More brutal and lethal this time. Uses the same smiley like the first franchise. But this time, it’s a cover for the bad. It’s the story of two one sided lovers who choose to take different paths to overcome their disappointment about love and life. The paths they choose decide who becomes the villain and who becomes the hero. That’s all, it’s that simple. What will keep you gripped is the mixture of grand music, the heritage of the franchise and the last shot.

Do sit through the end even if the movie doesn’t interest you. The closing scene shot in the asylum is your take away from the movie. Promising a better sequel.
