Review
Ananya (Hruta Durgule) is a sweet and kind girl. Her life turns upside down after she meets with an accident after which she loses both her hands and is introduced with new obstacles in life. She is a girl without a mother and now has only her father by her side.

‘Ananya’ is a movie adaptation of a hit Marathi play with the same name from the same director (Pratap Phad). It’s an another adaptation of a play from Ravi Jadhav who has brought several other hit plays to big screen.

Generally adaptations from plays or books don’t live up to expectations but ‘Ananya’ stands apart and doesn’t disappoint. The originality of the play can be seen throughout the movie and the essence is not lost. The music by Sameer Saptiskar fits perfectly well and carries the story throughout.

The film is an absolute emotional rollercoaster that showcases the entire emotional spectrum. The intricate and fragile relationship of a father and daughter is brought to life in a detailed way. The close up shots capture Hruta’s act beautifully!

The VFX is used in an appropriate manner without seeming overused.

Doesn’t matter if you have seen the play or not, the movie doesn’t disappoint!
