Established in 1968, this breakfast spot has been a morning ritual to many locals, known for its simple but delicious <strong>pohe, batata wada and pav pattice<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Shankar Rao Vadevale has been a symbol of the traditional taste of Pune and a nostalgic breakfast spot for many, serving the same menu for 54 years with its famous iconic thecha that makes it a unique and one-and-only stall to serve <strong>pohe, wada and thecha<\/strong> together, adding a special touch to a simple breakfast.<\/p>\n<p>On interviewing locals and regular customers, <em>\u201cShankar Rao Vadevale offers the best pohe, and they have been eating here since childhood when one vada cost was sixty paisa,\u201d<\/em> say customers. Others complimented the cleanliness and their well-maintained hygiene, and the use of coal fire to cook poha, which thereby enhances the taste.<\/p>\n<p>This local food stall in Kakakuwa mansion in Tulshibaug has been recommended by parents, grandparents, and even great-grandparents, proving to carry this legacy through generations. Shankar Rao Vadevale has stood the test of time and is now being run by Shankar Rao\u2019s grandson.<\/p>\n<p>The legacy of Shankar Rao Vadevale is deeply reflecting Pune\u2019s food culture.
