In an announcement made Wednesday, the Union Culture Ministry announced that all monuments and sites protected by the Archaeological Survey of India will be open to the public free of charge.

Shaniwarwada, Aga Khan Palace, Karla Caves, Shivneri, and Pataleshwar Caves are some of the places you should visit. Moreover, the Aga Khan Palace will conduct a special cultural program.

This is part of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, a celebration commemorating the 75th anniversary of India’s independence.

“As part of ‘Azadi ka #AmritMahotsav’ and #75thindependenceday celebrations, no fees shall be charged from visitors (both domestic and foreign) at all ticketed Centrally Protected Monuments/Museums/Archaeological Sites & Remains, from 5th August to 15th August 2022.” Archaeological Survey of India posted on Twitter.
