Prabhatswar, a classical music concert, the sixth edition will be a perfect way to begin the New Year. A concert of morning ragas, will be held under the big banyan at the Gokhale Institute on 2nd January 2022 at 7 a.m.

‘Prabhatswar’ presents music lovers an opportunity to listen to renowned classical singers interact directly with them.

On the first Sunday of the New Year January 2, 2022, Pandit Shaunak Abhishekhi, representing the younger generation, will present his music compositions from the melodious Agra and Jaipur Gharana.
He will be accompanied by Mangesh Mule (tabla) and Milind Kulkarni (harmonium), while Manjiri Dhamankar will interact with the artists.

Shaunak, son and disciple of famous singer Pt. Jitendra Abhisheki has made his mark in the field of Indian classical music as a promising singer among the younger generation.
While preserving the musical heritage received from his Guru, Pt. Shaunak especially likes to explore new dimensions in music. He has had the opportunity to perform with many of the world’s leading genres in the field of Indian Classical music.

The event is free for music lovers and will be held in compliance with government restrictions on the Corona background.
